Victim Fatally Struck by Big Rig
As per the article, a statement released by California Highway Patrol said a 2005 Scion of a 25-year-old Ontario man was struck on the 15 Freeway about 2:30 a.m.
The man exited his disabled vehicle and was then hit by a 2007 Ford big rig driven by 62-year-old Terry Blackwell, of Victorville.
CHP affirmed that the 25-year-old victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the truck also collided with the Scion, causing debris, oil and fuel to spill onto the road. CHP added heavy fog created low visibility in the area at the time of the deadly accident.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
