1 Killed in Traffic Collision on San Bernardino Freeway Friday
San Bernardino, CA (November 5, 2021) – A deadly car accident occurred Friday evening on Interstate 10, also known as San Bernardino Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated a big rig collided with a sedan on the westbound lanes of the freeway. The catastrophic incident took place near Tippecanoe Avenue in San Bernardino.
Shortly after 10:40 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the scene. First responders found the semi truck crashed down the embankment.
The CHP log mentioned the sedan was stopped for an unknown reason on I-10. Officials believed the truck driver failed to slow down as it approached the traffic hazard. Given that, the big rig slammed into the back of the sedan.

Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to one person. Sadly, the victim succumbed to their injuries and died. Police continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the deadly car and truck accident on Interstate 10 in San Bernardino.
