At Least 1 Killed in Traffic Collision on Barstow Freeway Wednesday
San Bernardino, CA (July 14, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly car accident that occurred on Interstate 15 Wednesday afternoon.
Initial records indicated a gray SUV overturned after colliding with a white SUV in the northbound side of I-15, also known as Barstow Freeway. The horrible crash took place near Nipton Road offramp in San Bernardino County.
Shortly after 3 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location and found at least one person trapped in the wreckage. Responding firefighters worked extensively to free the victim in the disabled gray SUV.
Several factors surrounding the traffic accident, and the rescue operations remained unclear.

However, the CHP dispatch confirmed one person sadly died as a result of the collision. Police continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Investigators continue to work to determine exactly how and why the deadly car accident in San Bernardino County happened.
