In this incident, it is evident that the driver of the Kia will be held fully responsible for causing the collision that injured the other motorist involved. The suspect is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs which has corresponding criminal penalties as it is considered as a serious wrongdoing throughout the state.
Aside from DUI, the man also fled the scene after causing the crash. These two factors leave the truck driver and the woman riding one of the cars involved a right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit against the at-fault individual.
