2 Children Injured in Collision Near University Parkway
San Bernardino, CA (May 28, 2023) – One person died, and several others suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 215 Freeway early Sunday morning, May 28.
The KTLA5 News reported a car crashed into a flatbed truck in the northbound side of the freeway just south of University Parkway in San Bernardino. Due to the force from the impact, the entire front of the car ended up crushed and the windshield shattered.
Officials said the catastrophic incident took place at approximately 2:11 a.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found one person unconscious. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Authorities added five other parties, including a 3-month-old child and another juvenile, suffered injuries. Medical personnel transported all injured people to the hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly crash that happened on Interstate 215 Freeway in San Bernardino.
