Double Fatal Crash Cajon Boulevard in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Oct. 21, 2020) — A 28-year-old woman and a 6-year-old boy died in a fatal crash on Cajon Boulevard n Sunday in San Bernardino.
A suspected drunk driver set off the crash involving four vehicles about 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 18, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Indeed, the woman was driving a blue Chevrolet Surburban SUV was heading northbound on Cajon Boulevard. She reportedly crossed over double yellow lines and crashed head-on into one of the victims in a silver Toyota Camry sedan. The accident was reported just north of Keenbrook Road.
Meanwhile, a southbound grey Nissan Titan also collided into the Suburban as it was rolling into the opposing traffic lanes. The woman driving the Suburban was ejected onto the roadway as the vehicle overturned and a 6-year-old boy riding with her in the SUV was killed.
Next, a southbound white Ford F-150 pickup truck crashed into the Camry. Sadly, the driver in the Camry was critically injured in the crash and died on scene. The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner is expected to release the victim’s names at a later time.
Finally, the driver of the Suburban suffered major injuries, but she survived the crash. She was transported by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Later, police arrested the woman at the hospital. The woman is facing multiple charges including drunk driving and causing bodily injury.
Police continue to investigate the cause of this collision. There may be further charges may be pending.
