Pedestrian Killed in San Bernardino Crash at 40th Street and H Street
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (December 2, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian at 40th Street and H Street in the city of San Bernardino.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at about 5:09 p.m.
CHP said the incident happened when a white vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in San Bernardino. The driver hit the person at the intersection of West 40th Street and H Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the victim down on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the person dead. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the accident. Officers forced the area of 40th Street and H Street to shut down for a time after the incident.
The cause of the fatal San Bernardino pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
