Pedestrian Killed in San Bernardino Crash at Lynwood and Mountain
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (September 23, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian at Lynwood Drive and Mountain Avenue North in San Bernardino.
According to a report published by the On Scene TV, the tragic accident took place on Thursday night. Officers responded to the collision on September 22 at about 9:22 p.m.
The incident began when a large white pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of Lynwood Drive and Mountain Avenue North.
Speeding Driver Hits Victim
San Bernardino police said the car then struck a male pedestrian in the intersection. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found the victim lying unresponsive in the middle of the road as a result of the accident. Medical personnel soon pronounced him dead.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police added that the speeding driver stayed at the site following the incident.
Officers forced the corner of Lynwood and Mountain to shut down for a time after the fatal collision. The cause of the San Bernardino pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
