Pedestrian Killed in San Bernardino Crash on Valencia Avenue Near 28th Street
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (January 2, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian on Valencia Avenue in San Bernardino.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department first logged the tragic incident last week on Wednesday. Officers reported the collision at about 5:42 a.m.
The accident happened on December 22 when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian in the city of San Bernardino. The driver hit him on North Valencia Avenue, south of East 28th Street.
Man, 21, Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the 21-year-old San Bernardino man down on the ground. He ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced a stretch of Valencia Avenue to shut down for a time following the collision.
The cause of the fatal San Bernardino pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
