Diaz Struck by 2 Vehicles, Killed
SAN BERNARDINO, California (April 2, 2016) – A fatal hit-and-run collision was reported on 9th Street early Saturday morning, according to The Sun. (map)
In a statement released by the police, officials said a male pedestrian was walking on 9th street near Preston Street when he was hit by a vehicle shortly before 3 a.m.
That car did not stop to render assistance and took off the area.
The elderly man was subsequently struck by a second vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The Sun identified the victim as 73-year-old Fermin Diaz, of San Bernardino.
