SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Dec. 7, 2022) — A head-on crash happened Tuesday night on Highway 18 between upper and lower Old Waterman Canyon Road in San Bernardino.
The 3-vehicle crash occurred about 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 6th, according to KTLA 5 News.
A driver in an SUV reportedly made a U-turn and drove directly into oncoming traffic before it crashed head-on into a pickup truck. The pickup overturned onto its side during the impact. Next, the SUV also collided with a red pickup truck, causing that truck to also overturn onto its side.
Paramedics responded and transported at least two people with serious injuries to a hospital.
Authorities closed down both lanes of the highway to allow cleanup crews to remove the wreckage.
Also, investigators are working on the case and will determine liability for the San Bernardino crash, but that won’t be difficult as the first pickup recorded the incident on its dashcam video.
Finally, police did not mention if drugs and or alcohol are a factor in the crash.
