SAN BERNARDINO, California (May 15, 2014) — At least two people suffered major injuries Thursday afternoon in a 3-vehicle crash on the southbound Interstate 215 Freeway just north of Washington Street, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 12:02 p.m., CHP officers responded to the crash between a brown sedan, a grey Honda sedan and a black Toyota Prius or Solara that were blocking the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes. The brown sedan crashed into the center divider wall.
Paramedics responded to the scene to transport at least two people to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment. All three vehicles required tow trucks to remove them from the scene.
Police are investigating exactly what happened to cause the crash and will put together a report assigning liability to one or more of the drivers involved.
“Hopefully all those hurt in this crash have a full recovery,” said Attorney James Johnson.
