SAN BERNARDINO, California (June 6, 2014) – A 28-year-old man was killed Thursday night in a pedestrian accident on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the 9:30 p.m. crash near the Interstate 215 Freeway transition. The injured man was taken by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he later died in the emergency room, the report said.
The San Bernardino CHP is heading up the investigation into this fatal pedestrian accident. The coroner has not released the man’s name pending notification of his family or next of kin.
“My condolences go out to the family of this young man as they come to terms with his sudden and tragic loss,” said Attorney James Johnson.
