Pedestrian Injured in San Bernardino Hit-and-Run at Sierra and Marshall
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (April 7, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Sierra Way and Marshall Boulevard in San Bernardino.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Sunday evening, April 4. Officers reported the incident shortly after 6 p.m.
According to their dispatch team, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at the intersection of North Sierra Way and East Marshall Boulevard in San Bernardino.
Driver Hits Victim Near Public Library, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Howard M Rowe Branch Library. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and fled the area. They closed Sierra Way and Marshall Boulevard following the San Bernardino collision.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
