SAN BERNARDINO, California (June 10, 2014) — A red sports car collided with a guardrail and possibly a semi-tractor trailer truck early Tuesday morning on the eastbound Interstate 210 Freeway at the southbound Interstate 215 connector, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
The 3:59 a.m. CHP report stated that the sports car was facing sideways and the big rig that was blocking the transition road may also be involved, but police were not sure. Police say debris was scattered all over the highway including oil and other fluids in the roadway.
Two occupants managed to get out of the car and appeared to be uninjured, but paramedics were called to check them out and possibly transport anyone who was hurt.
The mother of one of the involved parties was reportedly at the San Bernardino CHP Office. She reportedly drove there from Phelan to meet up with her son or daughter who was involved in the crash.
“Police are heading up an investigation into the crash to determine who is liable,” said Attorney James Johnson.
