1 Injured in San Carlos Crash on Northbound Highway 101 Friday
SAN CARLOS (May 22, 2020) – A traffic collision along Highway 101 left at least one person injured late Friday morning.
According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, officers received a call about the accident at approximately 11:10 p.m. just south of Holly Street
Their report log indicated that a light colored truck and a maroon sedan were involved in the crash which occurred on northbound Highway 101.

The incident began when two vehicles attempted to avoid hitting a garbage can in the No. 3 lane of the highway. The truck and the car then either collided with each other or slammed into a cement barrier.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and provided treatment to one individual who was confirmed to have suffered minor injuries upon impact.
CHP did not mention the name and condition of the wounded party at this time. Meanwhile, officers briefly blocked the northbound Highway 101 just south of Holly Street following the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
