Motorcyclist Killed in San Clemente Crash on 5 Freeway Near El Camino Real
SAN CLEMENTE, CA (September 6, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash on the 5 Freeway near El Camino Real in San Clemente.
The Orange County Register and My News LA wrote that the tragic accident occurred on Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:14 a.m.
The incident happened when a 2008 Ford Explorer struck a 65-year-old man riding a motorcycle in San Clemente. They collided on the northbound 5 Freeway, just north of El Camino Real.

The California Highway Patrol said that the rider was from Kansas City, Missouri. A 2012 Honda Civic then became involved in the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the motorcyclist lying on the ground as a result of the wreck. They soon pronounced him dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased man remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the occupants of the two cars stayed at the site and ended up unharmed.
CHP forced two northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway to shut down for several hours following the San Clemente crash. The cause of the fatal collision is still under investigation.
