SAN DIEGO, California (March 28, 2016) – Two were injured in a multi-vehicle collision Monday afternoon on the 5 Freeway, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch. (map)
The crash involving three, possibly four vehicles took place at 4:05 p.m., on the northbound 5 Freeway to northbound Highway 163 transition ramp.
As per the dispatch, two people were found wounded in a vehicle car which went up an embankment following the incident. San Diego Fire Department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the victims.
The extent of their injuries and their names were not specified.
Meanwhile, CHP said a white Mitsubishi Eclipse sustained major front-end damage upon impact. A Toyota Corolla was also seen at the site of the accident.
Authorities are still investigating.
