Jeep Hit by Driver Who Allegedly Fell Asleep on Interstate 15 Freeway
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Dec. 5, 2022) — A driver in a black Honda crashed into a white Jeep Monday morning on the southbound Interstate 15 Freeway at the I-8 Freeway interchange in San Diego.
The collision occurred about 9:30 a.m. on December 5th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officers responding to the scene and located the vehicles blocking the fast lane. The man driving the Honda told authorities he fell asleep before he hit the Jeep.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on the Interstate 15 Freeway.
