SAN DIEGO, California (August 4, 2016) –– Two men riding motorcycles and a female passenger were injured Wednesday night when their vehicles collided after allegedly racing down Palm Avenue in the Egger Highlands community, the San Diego Union Tribune said.
One of the people hurt in the crash suffered a fractured spine and femur in the collision.
The driver of one of the vehicles was described as a 26-year-old man. He was riding the bike with a female passenger aboard. His bike was reportedly speeding on Palm Avenue about 7:45 p.m. last night as he allegedly raced with a 26-year-old motorcyclist.
The solo rider allegedly was making a right-hand turn onto 16th Street when the bike with the passenger aboard attempted to pass the bike on the right side.
Paramedics responded to help the injured and transported them to a local hospital. The first rider suffered the serious fractures and his female passenger also was seriously hurt.
The second rider who was hit suffered minor injuries.
