Man, 79, Badly Hurt in Collision Torrey Preserve
San Diego, CA (August 13, 2022) – A 79-year-old bicyclist suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Sorrento Valley Road.

According to FOX5, the man was riding an electric bike traveling in the streets near Torrey Preserve. Earlier reports indicated the cyclist crashed into a car parked illegally at the bike lane; in the 11600 block of Sorrento Valley Road.
The article published online mentioned the rider of the electric bike suffered major trauma due to the force from the impact. When emergency crews arrived at the site, they immediately attended to the victim. After the evaluation, paramedics transported the patient to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the parked car was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
Detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the bicycle accident that happened on Sorrento Valley Road.
