SAN DIEGO, Calif. (May 31, 2018) — A big rig truck reportedly jackknifed Thursday morning on the Interstate 15 Freeway and was struck by several motorist near Miramar Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported about 5:46 a.m. this morning. A van reportedly T-boned the truck and several other vehicles also crashed into the big rig. Two people were injured and taken to Scripps Medical Center in La Jolla for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Police issued a SigAlert for the collision as the Nos. 3 to 6 lanes were blocked with the truck, a silver Ford Excursion, a red Toyota and another vehicle.

Police are investigating this collision to determine fault. At this time, it appears that the truck driver lost control and the other vehicles crashed into it. The driver and the company that owns the vehicle may be held liable for the losses of those hurt in the crash.
