SAN DIEGO, California (November 12, 2016) – An elderly female resident suffered injuries after a vehicle crashes into her home on Menlo Avenue near Orange Avenue Saturday morning, according to an article by San Diego Union-Tribune.
The vehicle that wrecked the house was identified as a 2004 Infiniti driven by Matthew Salabarria.
As per the report, officers attempted to pull over the car’s driver at Fairmount and Orange avenues after he allegedly tried to turn the wrong way about 2:28 a.m
Salabarria did not pull over, led police on a short, high-speed chase, then crashed through a home in the 4100 block of Menlo, injuring a 60-year-old woman sleeping on a couch.
Officials said Salabarria was arrested on suspicion of felony reckless evading police and misdemeanor drunken driving charges.
