2-Vehicle Collision on Mission Valley Freeway
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (July 11, 2023) — A two-vehicle San Diego car accident on the Interstate 8 Freeway happened Tuesday morning at the interchange with State Route 163.
The traffic accident occurred around 8:25 a.m. on July 11th, just west of Hotel Circle North, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a red Fiat and a dark-colored truck were involved. It’s unknown what led up to the collision at this time in the westbound lanes of the I-8 also known as Mission Valley Freeway.
Paramedics responded and transported one person to the hospital as a precaution due to possible injuries, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, two tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the San Diego accident.
