At Least 1 Injured in 5 Freeway Crash Near Hawthorn Street
SAN DIEGO (August 11, 2018) – Injuries were reported following a traffic collision on the Interstate 5 Freeway Saturday afternoon, according to Patch News.
The accident happened shorty after 2 p.m. near Hawthorn Street.

As per the article, a car crashed into a wall and rolled across the freeway several times before landing on its side in the slow lane. Furthermore, the car reportedly caught fire but a Good Samaritan was able to put it out quickly with an extinguisher.
Paramedics said one person was rescued from the scene and taken to a hospital for treatment of unknown extent of injuries. The name of the patient remained unkown at this time.
The investigators handling the case continue to work to determine what exactly triggered the wreck.
