Passenger Injured in Car Crash on Main Street
LOCATION: San Diego
DATE OF ACCIDENT: Tuesday, April 16th
April 16, 2019 – Two people were injured following a solo-car crash on Main Street, just west of the Interstate 5 Freeway, Monday evening.
According to Fox News, a 2013 Chevrolet sedan was traveling westbound on Main Street. When it reached a road curved sharply to the right, officials believed the male driver failed to negotiate the turn, causing the car to slid off the roadway. Per article, the Chevrolet ended up driving down a drainage ditch.
Emergency teams arrived at the location around 9:40 p.m. and found the driver and a female passenger both injured as a result of the crash.
Major Car Accident in San Diego Tuesday
The woman in the front passenger seat reportedly suffered a displaced pelvis, brain bleed and brain swelling. The patient was transported to a hospital, where she was listed in critical condition. Also hospitalized was the Chevrolet driver, but the extent of his injuries was not immediately available. The names of the patients have not been disclosed thus far.
At this time, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine precisely what caused the crash.
