Woman Hospitalized After Collision at 70th and Saranac Street
San Diego, CA (March 4, 2023) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of 70th and Saranac Street, the 911 Video News reported.
Officials said two vehicles collided at the intersection in San Diego on March 4, Saturday. Preliminary investigation revealed a pickup truck pulled out from the eastbound side of Saranac and drove into the path of an oncoming Jeep. Our sources indicated the driver of the Jeep, headed south on 70th, was not able to avoid and T-boned the pickup truck.
The force from the impact resulted in significant damage to both vehicles.
Major Car Accident in San Diego
Shortly after 8:43 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding firefighters worked extensively to extricate the woman trapped in the wrecked pickup truck. Medical personnel rendered first aid to the female driver after she was freed, then transported her to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Personal information on the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives handling the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the crash happened at 70th and Saranac Street in San Diego.
