
1 Injured in San Diego Crash at Coronado and Catalina
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 24, 2023) – One was hospitalized after a car crash at Coronado Avenue and Catalina Boulevard in San Diego.
According to a report published by the 911 News, the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers responded to the wreck on February 19 at about 10:15 a.m.
The incident happened when a Honda was going east on Coronado Avenue, approaching Catalina Boulevard, in San Diego. At the same time, a Subaru was traveling north on Catalina.
For an unknown reason, the Honda ran a stop sign at the intersection. Police said in the process, the car slammed into the Subaru.
Driver Runs Stop Sign, Hits Another Car
Firefighters arrived at the scene and rescued the trapped driver and passenger of Honda from the wreckage. Paramedics evaluated the women who declined transport.
The female motorist the Subaru complained of pain as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed her to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police forced the area of Coronado and Catalina to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the San Diego crash is still under investigation.
