San Diego Car Crash Interstate 5 and State Route 56

1 Injured in San Diego Crash on Interstate 5 and State Route 56 Transition

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 4, 2021) – At least one was hospitalized after a car crash on the Interstate 5 and State Route 56 transition in San Diego.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:15 a.m.

CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in San Diego. They crashed on the southbound the Interstate 5 at the State Route 56 transition.

2 Cars Collide

The incident log described two of the cars involved as a white Nissan Sentra and a Toyota Corolla.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then took the patient to the Kaiser Permanente Zion Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP forced the No. 1 lane of southbound the Interstate 5 at the State Route 56 to close following the wreck. The cause of the San Diego crash is still under investigation.
