1 Injured in San Diego Crash on Interstate 5 Near Sea World Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 4, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on the Interstate 5 near Sea World Drive in San Diego.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:25 p.m.
The incident happened on November 1 when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in San Diego. They crashed on the southbound side of the Interstate 5 near Sea World Drive.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the two cars as a red BMW sedan and possibly a silver Toyota Yaris. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Tecolete Creek.
Medical personnel found a passenger who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. They took the patient to the Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the San Diego crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the southbound lanes of the Interstate 5 to shut down near Sea World following the wreck.
