2-Vehicle Collision Near Old Town Avenue
San Diego, CA (January 29, 2023) – A traffic accident occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway on January 24, Tuesday.
The 911 News reported a woman was behind the wheel of a vehicle heading south on the freeway in San Diego. When the car approached the area north of Old Town Avenue, the female driver was startled by a passing motorcyclist. Officials said the woman apparently lost control of her car and veered towards the direction of the center divider.
After the first vehicle slammed against the barrier, a passing white car was not able to avoid and hit the disabled vehicle. At least one automobile was pushed onto the right shoulder of the freeway.
Shortly after the incident, rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the two drivers involved in the mishap. Personal information on the victims, and their conditions at this time have not been discussed thus far.
Detectives assigned to handle the case stayed at the scene for several hours. They continue to work to determine the precise cause of the traffic accident that happened on Interstate 5 in San Diego.
