
Driver Steps Out, Hit by Car Near Genesee Avenue
San Diego, CA (March 24, 2023) – A 28-year-old man suffered injuries following a car crash that occurred on State Route Highway 163 Friday afternoon, March 24.
The FOX5 and San Diego Union-Tribune News reported the adult male party was driving a Nissan sedan heading north on the highway. When the Nissan approached the area near Genesee Avenue, the driver allowed the sedan to veer left. Officials said the car ended up crashing into the center median wall along the highway in San Diego.
Major Car Crash on SR-163 in San Diego
According to the article published online, the driver of the Nissan stepped out of the car after the incident. The motorist attempted to flag down a passing car for assistance. However, the driver of an oncoming Toyota Camry did not notice the pedestrian and hit him. The crash resulted in major injuries to the driver of the disabled Nissan. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the victim, then transported them to a a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota appeared unharmed after the crash.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate liability in the traffic accident that happened on Highway 163 in San Diego.
