Woman Trapped, Injured in Collision Near Auto Zone Parking Lot
San Diego, CA (February 24, 2023) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on National Avenue Thursday, February 23.
The 911 Video News reported a woman driving a BMW was exiting the Auto Zone parking lot in San Diego. Preliminary investigation revealed the woman made a left turn onto National Avenue while an MTS Bus was parked at the Bus Stop. Officials said the bus was picking up passengers in the eastbound lane of National Avenue.
As the BMW entered the traffic lanes, an eastbound semi truck slammed into the car. The force from the impact caused the BMW to spin and came to a rest facing eastbound.
At Least 1 Hurt in Traffic Accident on National Avenue in San Diego
Emergency crews responded to the crash site shortly after 11:38 a.m. According to the article published online, firefighters spent several hours extricating the female driver trapped in the wrecked BMW. Medical personnel immediately rendered aid to the woman after she was pulled out. Pending confirmation, the name of the victim and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.
Detectives assigned to handle the case stayed at the scene. They continue to investigate liability in the traffic accident that happened on National Avenue in San Diego.
