CHP Officer Injured in Crash on Via Rancho Parkway
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 6, 2021) — A San Diego CHP motorcycle officer and a car collided Tuesday on Via Rancho Parkway in North County.
The CHP officer was critically injured when the other motorist reportedly made a left turn in front of the motorcycle.
Also, the crash happened just before 1 p.m. on Via Rancho Parkway near Lomas Serena Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Meanwhile, the car collided with the eastbound motorcycle cop on Via Rancho Parkway.
Upon impact, the CHP officer was thrown from his motorcycle. He suffered major injuries and was hospitalized.
Liability for the crash will be determined when the investigation is completed.
