1 Killed in San Diego County Crash Near Tierra Del Sol and State Route 94
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA (October 16, 2022) – A crash killed at least one person near Tierra Del Sol Road and State Route 94 in San Diego County.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:47 a.m. near the Boulevard area.
The incident happened when two cars collided for an unknown reason in the Manzanita community of San Diego County. They crashed near Tierra Del Sol Road and State Route 94.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the vehicles as a white Hyundai Ioniq and a blue Chevrolet sedan. The blue car rolled over due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the U.S.-Mexico border. They then pronounced one individual dead as a result of the incident.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the cause of the fatal San Diego County crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced a stretch of Tierra Del Sol Road and State Route 94 to shut down for a time following the wreck.
