Woman Hurt in Head-on Crash at Harbor Drive, Nimitz Blvd.
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (August 3, 2022) – A two-vehicle San Diego crash happened Tuesday night at Harbor Drive and Nimitz Boulevard.
The collision occurred about 11:30 p.m. on August 2nd in the Roseville/Fleetridge neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department.
A 32-year-old woman traveling westbound on Harbor Drive reportedly collided with a southbound SUV at the intersection with Nimitz Boulevard. One of the vehicles failed to stop at the red traffic light. The car reportedly broadsided the SUV. The woman suffered a head injury and had an ankle fracture.
Paramedics responded and located the injured woman who they took to UC San Diego Medical Center. Authorities believe she did not have a seatbelt on at the time of the crash. The 32-year-old man driving the SUV was not treated for any injuries on scene.
Investigators with the SDPD Traffic Division will determine fault for the crash.
