3-Vehicle Crash Involving Shuttle Bus in Rancho San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Dec. 9, 2024) — A head-on crash involving a Sycuan Casino shuttle bus and two other vehicles happened Monday on Willow Glen Drive, just west of Steele Canyon Road in the Rancho San Diego area.
The three-vehicle collision occurred at 7:38 a.m. on Dec. 9th, east of Jamacha Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the Sycuan Casino shuttle bus, a white Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck, and a grey Honda Pilot SUV were involved.
MAJOR INJURY CRASH
Paramedics responded with an ambulance to help those injured, but there are no further details at this time. However, the CHP stated there were major injuries involved and at least one person was taken to a hospital.
It’s unknown what led up to the crash that resulted in the left side tires of the bus flattened and damage to the pickup and SUV.
One of the vehicles also crashed into a chain link fence on the south side of the roadway and roughly 50 feet of fencing was damaged. Other debris from the crash was in the roadway.
Tow trucks removed all three vehicles from the scene.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Willow Glen Drive in San Diego.
