Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near 806 Freeway
San Diego, CA (May 30, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred on State Route 94 Monday morning, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Earlier reports indicated a vehicle struck an individual on the eastbound lanes of the highway in San Diego. The horrible crash took place just west of the Interstate 805 Freeway.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on State Route 94 in San Diego
Shortly after 3:30 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found a gray Volkswagen sedan stopped along the highway, and a body lying in the far right lane of SR-94. Paramedics immediately rendered aid to the pedestrian. Despite life-saving measures, the victim sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Detectives handling the case continue to work at this time. They continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident on State Route 94.
