Passenger Seriously Injured in San Diego Crash on Montezuma Road Near School
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 27, 2021) – A DUI crash seriously injured a passenger on Montezuma Road in San Diego.
According to report by the On Scene TV, the accident took place early Friday. The incident happened on November 26 at about 2:02 a.m.
San Diego police said a Jeep SUV slammed into a commercial vehicle that was parked in the area. The two crashed in the 6400 block of Montezuma Road near College Avenue.
Car Crashes Into Commercial Vehicle
The passenger ended up ejected from the Jeep as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near The Language Academy.
They rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the female driver of the SUV was under the influence when she hit the other vehicle. They soon arrested her on suspicion of DUI.
Officers forced a stretch of Montezuma Road to shut down following the wreck. The San Diego DUI crash is still under investigation.
