SAN DIEGO, Calif. (July 18, 2018) – A pedestrian died early Wednesday morning after being struck by multiple vehicles on the Interstate 805 near Imperial Avenue in the Lincoln Park area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place about 4 a.m. in the northbound lanes. It’s unknown why the person was walking near the freeway or in the lanes, but this is under investigation.
The accident caused major traffic delays. Police closed down all northbound lanes and diverted traffic off I-805 Freeway.
