1 Killed in San Diego Crash on Interstate 805 Near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 24, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person on the Interstate 805 near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in San Diego.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:18 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in San Diego. The cars crashed on the northbound Interstate 805 near the Clairemont Mesa Boulevard off-ramp.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene. They found a white sedan stopped and facing the wrong-way in the middle lane.
Medical personnel soon confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if any other party ended up hurt following the incident. The cause of the fatal San Diego crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the northbound lanes of the Interstate 805 to shut down for an hour near Clairemont Mesa after the wreck.
