SAN DIEGO: Fatal Hit-and-run Pedestrian Crash B Street, Eighth Avenue

Driver in Black Ford F-150 Pickup Truck Sought by Police

 SAN DIEGO: Fatal Hit-and-run Crash B Street, Eighth Avenue SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 28, 2020) — A man died early Tuesday morning in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in downtown San Diego.

Police are seeking the suspect who fled the scene after the 4:30 a.m. in a mid-1990s Ford F-150 pickup truck with a custom flatbed and a diamond-patterned chrome toolbox.

The collision took place inside a pay parking lot in the 800 block of B Street, near Eighth Avenue, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The suspect was seen by a witness who called 911 to report the fatal crash to police.

Paramedics performed CPR on the victim at the scene before they rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, the man died upon arrival at the hospital.

Police have surveillance video from the scene of the crash and do not believe it was an intentional act.
