Motorcyclist Killed in San Diego Crash at Dennery and Island Breeze
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 22, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist at Dennery Road and Island Breeze Lane in San Diego.
According to the San Diego Union Tribune and FOX 5 News, the tragic accident took place Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:20 p.m.
The incident happened when a 33-year-old man was riding a BMW motorcycle east on Dennery Road, approaching Island Breeze Lane, in San Diego.
At the same time, a Dodge Charger was going north on Island Breeze. Police said the car then made a left turn onto westbound Dennery.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
In the process, the two collided in the intersection near the Otay Mesa and Ocean Crest areas. The rider ended up thrown onto the road as a result of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the motorcyclist lying on the ground. He ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old woman driving the Dodge and her passenger did not sustain any wound following the wreck. The cause of the fatal San Diego crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Dennery and Island Breeze to shut down for a time after the incident.
