SAN DIEGO (December 9, 2016)- According to CBS 8 News, an 80-year-old man identified as Gam Fee Lee was the victim of a pedestrian versus auto collision Thursday evening at Rancho Penasquitos and Calle de las Rosas.
The San Diego Police Department received notice of the crash at roughly 6:00 p.m.
A 60-year-old woman driving a Honda Odyssey allegedly drove through the intersection and struck the elderly man as he crossed Rancho Penasquitos.
Lee was rushed to Scripps La Jolla Hospital, where he tragically did not survive his injuries.
San Diego police officials do not believe alcohol or drugs to have been contributing factors in this incident as they look into liability to determine the at-fault party.
We offer our warmest of thoughts, our prayers, and condolences to the family members of Mr. Gam Lee as they search for peace and comfort.
