At about 4:30 p.m., the victim was struck by a pickup truck driver who fled the scene immediately following the crash on Brooklyn Avenue near 61st Street.
Authorities disclosed that 3-year-old victim suffered a broken leg as she was taken to urgent care initially by her mother before being taken by ambulance to a hospital.
The hit-and-run suspect remains at large as the vehicle is being described as a full-sized pickup truck, the report added.
