At Least 1 Hurt in Traffic Collision on Avocado Highway Friday
San Diego, CA (August 27, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on Interstate 15, also known as Avocado Highway, Friday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, two vehicles collided in the northbound side of the freeway; near Carmel Mountain Road. Officials described the cars involved in the wreck as a black Range Rover, and a gold Toyota Tundra.
Emergency crews arrived at the accident scene shortly after 5:15 p.m. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. The name of the victim, and the extent of their trauma have not been revealed thus far.

The CHP log mentioned a motorist fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the injury car crash on Interstate 15 in San Diego.
