At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on Escondido Freeway Friday
San Diego, CA (September 25, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on State Route 15, also known as Escondido Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated a small pickup truck veered onto the right-hand shoulder of the freeway, and ended up smashing into a tree. The collision took place near Adams Avenue.
The CHP logged the incident on September 24 at about 7:35 a.m.
When medical personnel arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to all parties found at the scene. Officials later confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the incident. The name of the victim, and the extent of their trauma remained undisclosed.

Officials mentioned another one or more vehicles were possibly involved in the collision. However, the other drivers apparently fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
