At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on State Route 163 Near Mesa College Drive Saturday
San Diego, CA (August 21, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred Saturday evening on State Route 163, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Primary reports indicated at least two vehicles collided on SR-163, also known as Cabrillo Freeway. Officials said one motorist fled the scene following the incident. At this time, the make and model of the automobiles involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.
Shortly after 11:07 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the accident scene. Responding medical personnel rendered aid to all parties left in the area. Per CHP log, at least one person suffered injuries as a result of the collision.

Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the hit-and-run driver. Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the identity and location of the suspect.
