Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Crash in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Oct. 30, 2018) — A multi-vehicle collision today on the Interstate 8 Freeway left a motorcyclist injured and two others injured.
The crash took place about 6:38 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the freeway near the Interstate 5 Freeway and Taylor Street. Six vehicles were involved in the crash, but it appears that only the motorcyclist was taken to a hospital. The other two may have been treated at the scene or sought their own medical care.
A huge backup ensued on the freeway all the way to state Route 125 in La Mesa.
San Diego Crash Investigation
Police are reviewing the evidence and any witness statements gathered at the scene to determine who is at fault for this collision. The investigation will consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by the vehicles such as point of impact, final resting positions of the vehicles, skid marks, and gouge marks. When multiple vehicles are involved, there can be multiple drivers responsible.
We hope those hurt have a full recovery.
