Man, 27, Riding Moped Hurt in Mission Valley Crash
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Oct. 5, 2021) – A San Diego moped accident happened Saturday morning on Friars Road when the rider collided with a vehicle.
The 27-year-old man who was riding the moped suffered undisclosed, non-life threatening injuries in the collision.
The two-vehicle collision happened around 10:21 a.m. in the 7000 block of westbound Friars Road.
Police report a driver in a Honda Civic exited his apartment complex parking lot and headed southbound on Friars Road. Meanwhile, the man riding the moped collided with the car after the moped entered the intersection on a red light. The two vehicles collided and the moped rider got hurt and was transported to a hospital.
The 30-year-old man driving a Honda Civic did not report any injuries.
Investigators seek to determine fault for the San Diego moped crash.
